Best Websites for Marketing Your Book’s KDP Free Promotion Days

As an author, it can be a bit overwhelming when it comes to learning how to market your books. There is so much information on the internet – lists upon lists of indie book reviewers, paid promotions, free promotions, etc. – that at times it seems like we spend more of our time researching marketing strategies instead of writing the actual books!

One of the best marketing strategies I’ve discovered is to give away your book for free or at a discounted rate as a way of promoting it. When I first discovered this strategy, I didn’t understand the incentive to give it away for free, thus I wasn’t promoting my free days. Then, one magical day, I woke up to over 5,000 downloads, which bumped my book to the top 100 in the Kindle store, thus boosting sales on the following days when it wasn’t free.
After conducting extensive research, I complied a list of the best websites to promote your book’s KDP free promotion days. These are all free advertising services. Most of them require at least a 1-2 week notice prior to the free day, but there are a few that require you to post it on the actual free day, which is noted below.
It is recommended that you leave your book free or discounted for at least a two-day period.
